Course Objectives This course aims to demonstrate that text can be written more creatively by focusing on both fiction and nonfiction writing activity. The course content includes reading the examples of literature and the production processes of literary and non-literary texts.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • will be able to overcome any kind of inhibition that prevents us from writing by focusing on subconscious,
  • will be able to analyse tle role of language in shaping the world,
  • will be able to have a command of the techniques by exploring the professional writers’ works,
  • will be able to prove that even CV or blurb could be written more creatively,
  • will be able to gain awareness about developing vocabulary and style,
  • will be able to write short stories and other fictional or non-fictional writing, employing techniques of fictional elements like character development, dialogue, point of view, tone, plotting, etc.
Course Description In this course, the characteristics of literary genres will be analysed and students will be encouraged and supported with the technical issues to express themselves in literary and non-literary genres.
